- D2 and D3 – non-cutting tips
- D2 and D3 – to remove material from mid and apical thirds
Packaging:
- Pack of 6
Direction To Use:
When using the Dentsply ProTaper Universal Retreatment Rotary Files, follow these directions for effective and safe application:
Selecting the Appropriate File:
- Choose the appropriate file (D1, D2, or D3) based on the specific needs for removing filling materials from the coronal, middle, or apical thirds of the root canals.
Handling and Visibility:
- Ensure better visibility by using dark grey handles that are no more than 11mm long.
Initial Penetration (D1):
- Start with the D1 file, which has a cutting tip designed to facilitate initial penetration into the filling material.
- Use the working tip of the D1 file for easier initial penetration.
Mid and Apical Material Removal (D2 and D3):
- Progress to the D2 and D3 files, both of which have non-cutting tips.
- Use the D2 file to remove material from the mid-third of the root canal.
- Use the D3 file to remove material from the apical third of the root canal.
Sequential Use:
- Use the files in sequence to ensure effective removal of filling materials from different sections of the root canal.
Progressive Tapers:
- Take advantage of the three progressive tapers available to adapt to the changing dimensions of the root canal.
Apical Diameters:
- Choose the appropriate apical diameter based on the requirements for removing materials from the apical third of the root canal.
White Bands Identification:
- Identify the file to use by checking for the one, two, or three white bands according to the instrument selected.
Overall Procedure:
- Follow the recommended procedure for unfilling the coronal, middle, and apical thirds before canal reshaping.
Handle Carefully:
- Handle each file carefully during use to avoid any damage or deviation from the intended purpose.
