Ivoclar Tetric N-Bond is a dental adhesive used by professionals to create strong and durable bonds between dental restorations, such as composite fillings or crowns, and a patient's natural teeth. This adhesive is known for its consistent bond strength on both enamel and dentin, contributing to reliable and long-lasting results. It contains nano-fillers, providing a glossy coating upon application, ensuring complete coverage and precise placement. The homogeneous layer formation enhances adhesion, potentially reducing postoperative sensitivity for patient comfort. Tetric N-Bond is also praised for its acetone-free chemistry, utilizing ethanol as a safer solvent for easy single-layer application. Dental professionals rely on this product for effective bonding in various dental treatments while following manufacturer guidelines for optimal results.

Direction To Use:

Dispensing and Application

  • Dispense the desired amount of Tetric N-Bond into a clean mixing well.
  • Use a disposable applicator, such as the Vivadent Applicator Brush, to apply Tetric N-Bond to the tooth surfaces.

Light Protection:

  • To prevent premature curing due to exposure to light, protect the adhesive by using a light-protective material like VivaPad. Ensure that the bottle is closed immediately after each use.

Disposable Applicator:

  • For each application, use a new, disposable applicator. This maintains proper hygiene during the procedure.

Application on Tooth Surfaces:

  •  Apply a thick layer of Tetric N-Bond onto the enamel and dentin surfaces of the tooth that requires treatment.

Brushing and Activation:

  • Gently brush the adhesive material into the dentin for at least 10 seconds. This ensures proper activation and adhesion.

Check for Coverage:

  • Ensure there is no insufficient coverage of the cavity. If necessary, apply additional Tetric N-Bond material to achieve complete coverage.

Removal of Excess:

  • To avoid pooling and excess material, remove any surplus adhesive and solvent using a gentle stream of air.

Curing:

  • Light-cure Tetric N-Bond according to the recommended curing times based on your specific curing light unit program. For example, it may be:
  • High Power Program: 10 seconds for certain curing lights.
  • Low Power Program: 10 seconds for others.
