Dentical LC is a light-cure calcium hydroxide-based liner that offers a wide range of benefits for various restorative dental procedures. It is commonly used as a liner or base to provide additional support and protection during treatment. Dentical LC exhibits several advantageous properties such as antibacterial action, alkalinity, and radiopacity, which contribute to its effectiveness. Moreover, it is biocompatible, meaning it is well-tolerated by the surrounding oral tissues and has minimal adverse reactions.

Indications:

  • Direct Pulp Capping: Dentical LC is applied directly on the exposed pulp to stimulate the formation of secondary dentin and preserve the vitality of the pulp.
  • Indirect Pulp Capping: The material is used on carious dentin to prevent further bacterial invasion and promote the natural regeneration of dentin.
  • Pulp Protection: Dentical LC is applied underneath composite or glass ionomer cement restorations to safeguard the pulp from potential thermal or chemical injury.
  • Pulpotomy: In primary teeth, Dentical LC liners can be used for pulpotomy procedures, where the coronal portion of the pulp is removed, and the liner is placed on the remaining pulp tissue to promote healing and maintain tooth vitality.
  • Cavity Liner: Dentical LC can be applied as a liner in deep cavities to promote remineralization of dentin and provide thermal insulation, helping to protect the tooth structure.

Contraindications:

  • Patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
  • Patients with irreversible pulpitis or pulp necrosis.
  • Patients with periapical pathology or infection.
